Adventures in Prayer: Day 15 A New Name

When God is in the business of changing names. That’s one thing. That’s a good thing! But when we change our name that’s a whole different ballgame. Then there’s the name calling, the gossip names, the names put on us by others.  Ouch.

Names are important to God. God is all about redeeming.

  • People
  • Places
  • Cities
  • You name it (pun intended)

There was a wonderful song in the last 80’s

I Will Change Your Name

I will change your name
You shall no longer be called
Wounded, outcast
Lonely or afraid

I will change your name
Your new name shall be
Confidence, joyfulness
Overcoming one
Faithfulness, friend of God
One who seeks my face.

(D.J. Butler)

God wants to take time to talk to you about your name. He wants to talk to you about naming your home.  Are you a single parent, empty nester, new home owner? God wants to speak redemption and destiny purposes over your dwelling place.

A name … like no other name.

Listen in …

Love,

Mary Jo
